Thai Textile Industry

Thai Textile Industry (TTI) produces 100% combed compact cotton yarns, 100% Supima cotton yarns, and 100% cotton yarn-dyed and piece-dyed woven fabrics. Constructions include chambray, dobby, herringbone, jacquards, oxford, poplin, sateen, seersucker and twill. TTI has related companies in the group that complete their vertical operations from spinning (TTI and Thai Rung Textile), weaving (TTI), dyeing and finishing (Rama Textile Industries), and garments (TTI).

The management, lead by Mr. Kumjorn Chuenchoochit, continuously invests in technology: TTI upgrades and installs new equipment even before depreciation runs out. They are currently running 115, 314 Toyota spindles, 186 Toyota weaving looms and processing about 1, 000 tons of cotton per month. The group has state-of-the-art facilities and is Toyota’s showroom; they are, therefore, always the first to receive new spinning machines. In June 2014, Thai Rung Textile just started a row of 14 Toyota RX300 spinning machines with 25, 536 spindles complete with fully link corner automation. The new spindles are faster and—more importantly—use less electricity.

Mr. Kumjorn chooses the highest quality cotton in order to spin 100% cotton compact yarns as fast as the spindles are designed to handle, while using as little energy possible in order to produce the best quality products at competitive prices. U.S. cotton is the preferred choice and TTI is Thailand’s largest user of Supima.

Along with high-quality yarns, TTI executes high-quality dyeing and finishing to be one of the leading producers of yarn-dyed woven fabrics in ASEAN Region. TTI has Dobby Rapier, Double Beam Rapier and Jacquard Rapier Toyota weaving looms to produce unique yarn dyed fabric constructions.

The company takes care of its 1, 800 employees, reflecting upon the high quality products they produce with pride everyday. The environment is spotless. The air in the spinning factories is so clean, you can walk around without a mask.

At TTI, the management’s vision combined with the latest technologies, proud employees and U.S. cotton is their recipe for their continued success. For the past 44 years, TTI has never stopped spinning at full capacity.
